Ashwagandha is a nutritional supplement known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry and is one of the most used herbs in Ayuverda (a system of Indian medicine that was created in ancient times). This was used as a rejuvenating agent, being considered useful for counteracting the effects of aging and diseases. Ashwagandha helps the nervous system work better by improving memory, supports the reproductive system by improving sexual functions and enhances the functioning of the immune system by improving cell immunity. It has antioxidant properties, so it protects cells against reactive forms of oxygen and is originally known as an adaptogen that increases the body's resistance to stress. Their ingredients and dosage are similar to those used in clinical trials.
